While Scotland has fantastic access rights, we know that Scotland’s path network is poorly mapped and promoted. We know that knowledge of paths is crucial in helping people to choose to walk or cycle for journeys. With the Mapping Scotland's Paths project, Ramblers Scotland are aiming to create the best ever map of Scotland's paths and make that information available to everyone, for free. Our volunteers go out and map the path network, completing path surveys to capture useful information that could benefit anyone who wants to use those paths. Our volunteers can also capture new paths that have never before been mapped and add those to out path network.

No specific skills but general mapping knowledge and experience using mobile phone apps is a plus.
