Cinema Volunteer

We are currently looking for Volunteers to help our at the Kirky Cinema based mainly
in the Kirkintilloch Town Hall, we also rent out our services to local schools in East
Dunbartonshire and require volunteers to help lifting and moving the cinema equipment in
and out of venues as well as set up and take down.
Your Role:
• Be present in the hall during screenings
• Ensure the hall is brushed up after each screening
• Serve and re-stock snack stand
• Check tickets are valid and age appropriate
• Help to promote a respectful atmosphere among the audience
• Ensure there is no smoking, e-smoking or consumption of alcohol.
• Put-up/take-down of cinema and sound equipment
• Attend local schools for cinema screenings
• Heavy lifting may be involved if able

PVG’s will be applied for eventually for all volunteers in the team as they will be working with vulnerable people.

Experience required

Highly motivated, enthusiastic about film and Kirkintilloch, friendly, approachable, no cinema experience required

Training details

Training provided at the event, ticket check/door monitoring, general house keeping and snack sales. covid prevention training provided. support available from Co-Ordinator and cinema team during event. Food
provided during shift. Shifts are split into two for main screenings and one shift for smaller screenings in Town Hall
