intandem
- VO98822
intandem volunteer mentors spend time with young people aged 8-14, who are looked after at home or in a kinship care arrangement once a week.
The focus of mentoring sessions is to have fun, try new things in their local community and help them recognise their achievements as well as support them through the challenges they face too.
Having a volunteer mentor and positive role model can make a huge difference to a young person’s wellbeing.
Experience required
Volunteer mentors need to be fun, approachable, open minded and non-judgemental.
Travel details
Across Fife, volunteer mentors are matched with young people within a pre-agreed reasonable travelling distance with all travel expenses being reimbursed by intandem.
They are especially interested in hearing from people in the West Fife, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Levenmouth areas.
Travel expenses
Expenses for travel or fuel as well as activity costs are reimbursed by bank transfer weekly, fortnightly or monthly after sessions have taken place.
Public transport costs are covered in their entirety with a receipt and mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
