CPR Lead - Scottish Borders

Our CPR Lead will support the delivery of bystander CPR demonstrations to community groups across your local area. The demonstrations are very hands-on - we aim to give people the skills they need to recognise a cardiac arrest and take the appropriate action. We work with schools (from Primary 1 and above), community groups, businesses, and other organisations. Demonstrations are organised and delivered by volunteers. St John Scotland promotes the placing of Public Access Defibrillators in communities across Scotland and offers free CPR and defibrillator awareness as part of this work.

• Respond to training requests to build a calendar of CPR events to be delivered by our CPR Champion volunteers
• Lead a small CPR Champion volunteer team. You will communicate with the volunteers and organise regular volunteer meetings, including initial training sessions.
• Organise events, taking into account the individual requirements of the request, volunteer availability, and travel distance
• Deliver bystander CPR awareness to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Manage the equipment required for the delivery of CPR events – training for this will be provided
