What does the role involve?
• Working as part of Guide Dogs’ fundraising team with staff and volunteers
• To help with coordination of a group to raise money through events or other activities, meeting with volunteers in your team as required, to help with booking venues for events
• Welcoming new members
• Liaising with Community Fundraiser informing them of your group’s work and the people involved
• Making sure your group follows policy and procedure when fundraising
• Being a passionate local ambassador for Guide Dogs’ work
• Co-ordinating your branch in raising money through events or other activities, delegating tasks to other volunteers in your team as required, e.g. booking venues for events
• Branch Chairs only: lead a branch with a constitution and should hold an AGM
Experience required
Able to generate enthusiasm, Good communication and team-working skills & Able to motivate a group of people

Basic induction to Guide Dogs and to the role
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
