Glasgow City Youth Health Service 9YHS) take a holistic approach to care. This means that we try to support the young person with all aspects of their health, rather than focusing on just one.
Do you live in a Glasgow City postcode area and are you aged 16-18yrs?
If yes, we would love you to join us as a volunteer in the Youth Health Service.
We have 14 Youth Health Service Volunteer opportunities lasting 12 months in one of our 9 venues across Glasgow City. This service is provided by Glasgow City HSCP- a partnership between NHSGGC and Glasgow City Council.
We are also working in partnership with The Prince's Trust to support you with this fantastic volunteer opportunity.
This is a interesting and valuable role supporting our people 12-19yrs who attend our evening clinics across the city.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and specialist support staff to welcome our young people and their parents/carers into the Youth Health Service. To find out more about the service Glasgow City Youth Health Service - NHSGGC
Where will you volunteer?
You will be assigned to one YHS venue and given the option to choose 2 of your ideal locations - Drumchapel, Easterhouse, Gorbals, Govan, Maryhill, Pollok, Possilpark, Shettleston, Springburn.
What days and times would you volunteer?
Each venue runs one evening per week, you would work 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm one evening per week for 12 months.
What would you be doing?
-Welcome our young people to the YHS and update any information as required
-Assist young people in accessing pre-approved resources on the YHS tablet.
-Fill out any relevant paperwork
-Work as part of a lovely team!
When would you start?
You will in your agreed location one night per week 6.30pm - 8.30pm w/c 20 January 25

Availability
Volunteers (aged 14-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
