Volunteer Site Guides - Basic Site Tours

The award winning Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join its guiding team. Set among 10 acres of the poet's cherished Alloway countryside; the site comprises the famous Burns Cottage where the poet was born, the historic landmarks where he set his greatest work, the elegant monument and gardens created in his honour and a modern museum housing the world's most historic collection of his life and works.
Volunteers in this role will be leading groups of paying customers in our site tour experience. This tour covers the site from the cottage, down the poets path and to the Auld Kirk. It is very strongly geared towards our American visitors.

Main duties include:
Leading the tours
Delivering the main outcomes/story points from a loose script
