Community Moorings Scotland
- VO101623
We are looking for a new trustee who will take on the responsibility of treasurer/book keeper. Our current treasurer is resigning at the end of October which is also the end of our financial year.
Community Moorings promote rights and opportunities for canal boat users to forge bonds with the local community. We currently have a site on the Union Canal where we have 8 canal boats moored next to our 2 acres of orchard and agricultural land near Linlithgow. We hope to develop volunteer opportunities for people to benefit from contact with the natural world for example gardening and community events.
Here’s a link to our Facebook page where you can find out more about us: https://www.facebook.com/CommunityMooringsScotland
Experience required
This SCIO is based around a community of canal boats moored near Linlithgow so some interest in boaters issues would be useful. We also own two acres of agricultural land immediately next to the moorings and are registered for VAT.
