Glasgow FrontRunners OUTrun

About this event

Glasgow FrontRunners is Glasgow’s LGBTQIA+ running club. We are an inclusive, community based road running club for LGBTQIA+ people and our allies. You can find out more about GFR at https://www.glasgowfrontrunners.org

OUTrun is a 5 mile race around Kelvingrove Park, with up to 500 runners. 🏁

The race takes place on Saturday 17th August 2024 at 9.30am and it’s Glasgow FrontRunners’ largest event and Scotland’s largest LGBTQIA+ race. This will be its 10th year.

Volunteering details

OUTrun is GFR’s annual 8km race in Kelvingrove Park and we are looking for volunteers to act as marshals, to help with the registration, bag drop, water stations etc.

The race is on Saturday 17th August 2024 at 9.30am. Volunteers would be required to be at Kelvingrove Park between 7.30am-8am with an expected end time of around 12pm. Everyone who volunteers will be given full instructions on what they need to do. As a thank you, you will receive a OUTrun technical t-shirt and a voucher for a complimentary hot-drink as a thank you.

In order to receive the t-shirt at the event, volunteers are required to sign up by the 20th July 2024. Anyone who signs up to volunteer after that date will receive their t-shirt by post in the weeks following the event.


Volunteers need to be 18 years old or over on the day of the event.
