Be part of the fright! 🎃 Volunteer at the Edinburgh Horror Festival’s 10th year (23–29 Oct 2025).
The Edinburgh Horror Festival, or EHF as all the cool kids call it, is one of the most popular Hallowe'en events in Edinburgh. Incorporating theatre, comedy, magic, spoken word, movies, games, improv, workshops, interactive events and more. So there will be plenty of things to do in Edinburgh during the Haunting season of Hallowe'en and Samhuinn.

Volunteering details
As Front of House, you’ll help with tickets, audiences, and changeovers while enjoying free shows, treats, and perks at Scotland’s Most Haunted Pub — The Banshee Labyrinth!
No experience? No problem! Training provided.
What you’ll do:
• Assist with changeovers between shows (reset seating, clear spaces).
• Check tickets, greet audiences, and guide them to seats.
• Manage doors during performances to minimise disruption.
• Answer questions and point audiences to online or box office tickets.
• Support performers and the organising team.
What you'll be:
• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking to the public.
• Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic about live performance and the festival atmosphere.
• Comfortable working in a busy, lively environment.
The perks:
Every volunteer receives a T-shirt, badges, stickers, Hallowe’en treats, free show entry, complimentary soft drinks while on duty, and a lifetime membership card at the Banshee Labyrinth (when off duty).
Time commitment:
4 hours on 2 days (8 hours in total)

Fri 24th October: 16:45 - 22:30
Sat 25th October: 14:15 - 22:30
Sun 26th October: 14:30 - 22:30
Mon 27th October: 19:15 - 21:35
Tues 28th October: 19:15 - 21:35
Wed 29th October: 19:15 – 21:05
Induction:
Sunday 19th October, 16:00 – 18:00 at Banshee Labyrinth
