Hillfoots Tales is an inclusive community organisation; researching and telling thestories, old and new, of our local area to re-connect our communities and people withthe landscape and all its rich diversity. Hillfoots Tales aims to advance the education ofthe public in Clackmannanshire and Hillfoots area; in the art of storytelling, to collectand share the myths, the legends and the history of the area, to encourage publicinterest in the oral storytelling tradition, heritage and the local landscape. Storiesconnect us to the past and to those who went before us, connecting us to a future wecannot see but touch. Our mission statement is “Hillfoots Tales, connecting, people andplace on a global level through the magic of storytelling.” We envision a world wherepeople and places are connected through the magic of storytelling, creating a strongsense of well-being and acceptance. Our work with communities is based on deliveringthe values on connection, creativity, health and learning on a solid foundation ofacceptance.
