Founded in February 2018, Spotlights Community Youth Theatre was set up as a registered charity (SC048229) to provide an affordable education in the theatrical arts.
Regular classes for children and young people interested in dramatic arts currently run on a Sunday evening in Forfar for both 4 -11 year olds and 12-17 year olds covering singing, dancing and drama to provide a well rounded theatrical education. In addition to classes Spotlights produces a yearly show and often also performs a showcase, which allows the students to really show off the skills they’ve been learning with many of our students participate off stage as well as on stage, taking on roles such as choreographer and stage crew.
