GOGA Tayside

GOGA Tayside provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to be physically active together through inclusive activities. GOGA is more than being active. It strengthens community spirit, increases confidence, improves mental health and can aid in the reduction of health inequalities. It increases the demand for, and accessibility of, activities. Activities can vary and will focus on the message of move more sit less. These activities can be delivered in a range of different ways and settings and in partnership with various local agencies and services.
We hope that volunteers can be actively involved in the planning, preparation and delivery of GOGA activities and events. This can be through supporting people within communities to attend activities, act as peer support, create a welcoming environment for people to attend, tea and coffee distribution at events, maintenance of walk areas or outdoor spaces and support delivery of activities. Full induction and training will be provided based on individual volunteer needs.
