East Renfrewshire and Glasgow City councils are working together to create, maintain and grow the country park Dams to Darnley, within the greenspace between Barrhead, Darnley and Newton Mearns.The countryside rangers are there to promote the enjoyment, understanding and care of the country park through the provision of information, advice, events and activities. Through their work they also assist to manage the country park and secure the responsible behaviour of everyone visiting it. Throughout the year the countryside rangers will be delivering a series of community events, activities and guided walks for all the community. All the events are FREE, although booking is required for some. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
