Open weekdays 9pm-4pm. The Riverside provides a place for older people to meet in warm, friendly surroundings.

Less able members are provided with a bus service to and from the day centre. Upon arrival at the member's house, a staff member or a volunteer will enter the house and ensure it is safe. Bus remit extends from Isle of Whithorn to Gatehouse of Fleet, Glentrool and Kirkcowan.

Staff assist people with toileting and personal hygiene.

Throughout the day members area offered food and drink from a breakfast menu (9.30am-11.30am); morning tea and coffee and then Lunch which is prepared by a cook and kitchen assistant. In doing this they also offer a Healthy option in line with the Healthy Living award.

Entertainment and activities are laid on every day after lunch. This also features bingo, dominoes, music, films, and New Age Curling. In addition members run Ceilidh dances on alternate Thursday evenings.

Free wireless internet and access to computers are available as well as classes in computer and mobile phone use provided through Building Healthy Communities. The centre also benefits from weekly visits from a fully qualified hairdresser and beautician for a small fee.

Annual member is £50 open to anyone over 60.
