Pitreavie Amateur Athletic Club was formed in 1956 by a group of local athletics enthusiasts. When the track at Pitreavie Stadium was constructed it was the finest in Scotland which enabled the Club to encourage local athletes in all disciplines, Track & Field, Road & Hill Running. Since then Pitreavie Amateur Athletic Club has grown to become one of the major clubs in Scottish Athletics, catering for men and ladies of all ages and abilities, from 9-year olds upwards. Pitreavie Amateur Athletic Club teams take part in all the athletic disciplines, have highly qualified coaches and excellent facilities. Pitreavie's athletes have competed at all levels, up to Olympic Games, but there is always recognition of the loyal club member.
