St Columba’s Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for people with progressive, far-advanced illness with from across Edinburgh and the Lothians. We also provide support for their relatives and carers. Our vision is that everyone within our community has access to excellent palliative care whoever they are, wherever they are and whenever they need it. We provide care within our bedded unit, and through Day Services, Outpatient appointments and our Community Palliative Care Team. Our Education Department provides education in palliative care for healthcare professionals, as well as carrying out research. To do all of this, we have 160 staff, and over 600 volunteers.
