St Magnus International Festival takes place around midsummer each year and is a multi-arts festival with music at its core. The Festival is highly regarded on the international arts circuit and presents some of the best in the world in Orkney. The Festival works across the Orkney Islands and frequently creates projects which work throughout the year. The Festival is run by a core professional team with huge support from volunteers who deal with everything from stewarding to box office, technical crew to transport and hospitality. The Festival also promotes many projects which involve volunteer performers ranging from the Festival Chorus to theatre performances and opportunities for local performing groups from all art forms.
