We are a 100% volunteer-run, virtual, not-for-profit organisation striving to reduce risk for children and other vulnerable people online. DEFEND’s initial efforts are focused on three main areas: Advocacy, Technology and Education.
As a non-profit, DEFEND is proud to shine light on some global accomplishments. We have made significant strides in combating online child exploitation and protecting vulnerable individuals. Focused on creating safer digital environments, DEFEND works to safeguard children and vulnerable adults from online dangers, including cyberbullying, sexual exploitation, and trafficking. The organisation’s global impact is rooted in its collaboration with experts in technology, law enforcement, education, and government agencies. Our team of 200+ people are located in 20+ countries and strive daily to protect others online.
We have programs and boots on the ground now working in the US, Canada, the UK and now Australia to push our lobbying efforts forward. Through a range of initiatives, DEFEND advocates for policy changes, develops educational programs, and raises awareness on digital safety. Our approach includes offering resources to parents, educators, and policymakers, enabling them to better protect at-risk individuals in the digital space. It all starts with our team members.
