As part of the RAF Association, our Connections Volunteers offer the vital connection and support our beneficiaries need. In this role, you will make a real difference by helping support a lonely individual via regular telephone calls.
Experience required
Patience and Empathy Friendly nature/rapport Good listener Ability to maintain boundaries Reliability Access to a computer and phone.
Support
Training details
We provide an online modelized training course, which is accredited and you will receive a certificate of achievement upon completion. In addition to this volunteers can sign up for further training to increase their effectiveness as a volunteer.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
