Computer Buddy Scheme

Computer Buddies are our tam of trusted volunteers who help our learners across North Ayrshire libraries digital services. Training and ongoing support given. Can you spare 1hr per week wo pass on your digital skills to others and help them to use a computer in the library, connect to the public library wi-fi, use wi-fi printing and our ebookaudio book and magazine services.

Experience required

Experience of using Microsoft Word 2010 and Windows 7 is desirable. Good communication skills and the ability to pass on knowledge and skills.

Travel details

Volunteers should make their own way to the library that they are volunteering in. North Ayrshire Libraries will reimburse travel costs to and from the place of volunteering. Public transport should be used where possible and receipts provided. Details of expenses incurred should be provided on the claim form and should be given to your named contact. Volunteers should keep a copy of all expenses claimed.

Induction training is mandatory – volunteers will be taken through our 2hr programme.
