Pen-y-Coe Press Shop Volunteer

This is a unique opportunity to either learn or apply skills related to customer requests for printing a wide range of materials. This work often includes using the guillotine, laminator and book-binding. We also sell arts and craft materials and a wide range of stationery supplies. Our greetings cards include those created by local artists. You will be interested in the heritage of paper-making in Penicuik and enjoy working as part of a team. Retail experience would be a bonus but is not required. Volunteers are also encouraged to work cooperatively with the team as we go through a time of change and development. The role requires a minimum of one shift of three hours a week along with attendance at monthly team meetings.

Experience required

A willingness to be part of a team; basic literacy and numeracy and basic computer skills. An interest in retail and particularly arts, crafts and paper would also be helpful.
