We are looking for personable and outgoing volunteers to join our Zero Waste Cafe team. Cafe volunteers are the first people that visitors see when coming in to our space. Cafe volunteers are essential for welcoming new people to our Zero Waste Hub as well as serving a variety of drinks and delicious food made in-house by our cooking volunteers. Please note: the volunteering opportunity is not suitable for anyone under 16years of age or who has not yet reached school-leaving age.

Experience required

Essential skills: Personable, friendly, willing to learn.
Desirable: Cafe/catering experience, retail experience.
Full training is provided.

Travel expenses

Reasonable travel expenses through BACS claim or petty cash. All other expenses must be agreed prior to spending.

Training details

We start with a trial shift during which induction training is started. This is normally completed during the second shift. After the second shift the Coordinator will start to become less hands-on (as long as both the coordinator and the volunteer are comfortable with the rate of progress).
