Volunteering details
This volunteer role will begin in October, giving you plenty of time to plan ahead and get ready to be part of this exciting event.
Capital Sci-Fi Con is one of the most exciting events in the CHAS fundraising calendar. The annual event attracts significant media attention and volunteering on this project promotes the convention which raises vital funds to help CHAS support and care for families of babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
We understand that everyone’s availability is different, so we’re happy to work around the time you can give. Whether you can spare just a couple of hours now and then, or commit to one or two days a week, your support will make a real difference. Every bit of time you give helps us bring Capital Sci-Fi Con to life and raise vital funds for CHAS.
What you will be doing:
Assisting with marketing the event by researching new platforms to promote the event on and help increase the number of attendees.
Overseeing the event social media and creating a schedule of engaging posts.
Assisting with office-based event prep, including sourcing prizes for the event’s raffle and tombola, researching guest and prop opportunities, preparing materials, and other general administrative tasks.
Assisting with volunteer recruitment and creating volunteer rotas for the event.
Representing Capital Sci-Fi Con and CHAS at the event.
