Movement Motivator Volunteer

The Movement Motivator Volunteer will help our club members to get involved in some kind of activity during the club session. This will be some very gentle exercises during the club session to get everyone moving and there will be training provided about some of the activities that we are already using in other clubs eg, Body Boosting Bingo. Some of our club members have mobility problems and will need to exercise while seated and some will need to be persuaded to get moving. Club sessions are great fun and there's lots of banter!

You will be part of a team of volunteers who support each other. The club session is 1½ hours every week and on-going support will be provided by the Volunteer & Area Coordinators.

We need volunteers who can communicate well with others and can support club members who have memory or physical health problems. The most important skill is to be able to listen to club members and to encourage them to take part in the activities that are offered.

Come and join us to make a difference in the lives of older people!
