• Greeting people, providing a warm welcome to the Macmillan Service
• Providing a friendly, listening ear to people affected by cancer
• Making direct referrals to the appropriate agencies and signposting to others.

Experience required
No previous experience required. You’ll receive full training and support to give you the skills needed to carry out this role, including listening skills, confidentiality and boundaries. You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.
Travel details
These roles are currently available in our local Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Hubs at: Rutherglen Library (Wed 1.30pm- 3.30pm), Wishaw Library (Wed 1.30pm – 3.30pm) and East Kilbride Central Library (Mondays 10am-12 noon or 12 noon- 2pm). We also have Macmillan Hubs in Coatbridge Library and Bellshill Library.
Travel expenses
Travel Expenses up to £4.50 per day are reimbursed.
Support
Training details
No previous experience required. You’ll receive full training and support to give you the skills needed to carry out this role, including listening skills, confidentiality and boundaries. You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.
