Do you love walking and like a blether? Would you like to encourage people to start walking by helping to organise and lead short walks. to As a walk leader you will: Help people discover and make the best of their local area on foot. Give people the confidence to walk on their own as well as in a group. Welcome as many people as possible by keeping walks easy and accessible.
We are looking for people who are friendly, outgoing and have bags of common sense to train as volunteer walk leaders. You will be given training in how to plan a walk, how to make sure a route is safe and what to do during a walk. You will be given full support from the walking coordinator.
Experience required
A Caring attitude and able to converse with a wide range of people. Full training will be given
Travel details
Various Locations throughout North Ayrshire
Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
