Trustees

Help The Lavender Touch make a difference to those living with cancer in the Scottish Borders.

The Lavender Touch is a small but growing voluntary organisation which supports people living in the Scottish Borders through their cancer experience. It is a registered charity with a small number of dedicated employees, a passionate group of trustees and is supported by many enthusiastic volunteers from the local community.
We need experienced members of the public to join our Board. We are particularly keen to recruit members of the local community in the Scottish Borders but would not exclude anyone who has one or more of the following skills as much of our work can be done online:
Former experience of being a trustee and an understanding of what a cancer experience may be like for a person would be helpful but not essential.

Experience required

• Caring and compassionate with an interest in helping those in our local community
• Confidence in speaking in public
• Experience of working in or running a business
• Marketing knowledge and experience
• Experience in the development of policies.
