The British Heart Foundation fund vital research into heart disease, stroke and vascular dementia, and their risk factors like diabetes.

One of the great ways you can support the work of the British Heart Foundation is through volunteering at one of our wonderful charity shops. We offer a wide range of roles to utilise existing skills, or to add value and skills to an individual’s CV.

Some of our current roles are:
• Online expert (eBay researcher and lister)
• Book volunteer (to sort, price and merchandise our book depts)
• Till operator (responsible for customer service and cash handling)
• Back of house support staff (roles including steaming, tagging, pricing of stock)
• Volunteer driver (to make prearranged household stock collections – own car essential and mileage paid)
• Gift Aid expert (processing and tagging gift aided stock)

On top of building skills and confidence, we also offer a range of benefits to our volunteering team including, 25% discount on donated stock, free breakfast club, free period products, full training, reasonable travel expenses paid, access to our benefits hub to get discounts at local retailers.

A fantastic opportunity to help and make a real difference. All help is greatly appreciated. For further details please contact our Shop Manager at email: A18@bhf.org.uk or telephone: 01224 252769.
