Kindness Buddies

As a Kindness Buddy, you might help someone with the following:

  • Purchasing items of shopping for a few weeks

  • Taking someone to a weekly activity/group

  • Helping someone get back out in the community after a period of isolation

Some people may need short-term support, others may require longer.

Kindness Buddies must be flexible, personable, patient, considerate, calm and kind! A great sense of humour is helpful too. Kindness Buddies should be able to travel easily, whether in their car or be confident using public transport.

You may prefer to help with one project or be happy to help across various, the choice is yours.

The role would present an excellent opportunity to learn and develop new skills while providing invaluable service to your local community.

Training will be provided along with support throughout your volunteering journey. This role will require a PVG check free of charge.

If this sounds like you and you're interested in discovering more, contact us at Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire at 0141 876 9555 or hello@va-er.org.uk.
