Health Walk Leader

We have opportunities for volunteers to train as walk leaders to support health walk projects in areas across Aberdeenshire. Becoming a volunteer walk leader with Aberdeenshire Health Walks is a rewarding and sociable role that benefits both your health and the health of others. Health Walks are short, safe, social, fun and accessible low-level walks led by trained volunteers. Paths for All walk leader training is offered for free to support the role.
Commitment for the role can be anything from one hour once a month to two+ hours per week depending on the project you’re supporting and the role you take on within that project. As well as supporting the walks, there may be an opportunity to support with some of the project’s administration tasks.
This opportunity would be best suited to a ‘people person’, who has a passion for being active/ being outdoors and encouraging others to do the same.

Travel details

Volunteer would be expected to make their own way to health walk via car or public transport if they cannot get to start point on foot/ by bike.
