ADA is an award-winning charity, delivering specialist services to reduce harms and promote recovery of individuals and families affected by alcohol and drugs in the Northeast of Scotland. We are contracted through Health and Social Care in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, as the main provider for such services.
We are seeking Board Members and in addition, subject to relevant experience, a Chair of the board. Our board is made up of 6 experienced members who you will work closely with, alongside our CEO and senior leadership team to shape the organisation’s vision, enhance our current service offering and create lasting impact on the communities we support.
Do you have governance, board or senior management experience in following areas?
-Finance/financial management
-IT / IT management
-Governance and quality assurance
-Fundraising and campaigning
-Stewardship of charity assets
We offer training and development opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of all board members. This is an opportunity for all regardless of professional or personal experience.
Time commitment for board members is an average of 6 hours per month for attendance at board and subgroup meetings. Meetings are held in person with remote access as required.
In return we can offer you:
-The opportunity to share your wisdom to make a positive impact on local communities in the area
-The privilege of working alongside a dynamic innovative team within ADA
-Relevant training and development to enhance your knowledge and skills
-Networking opportunities, both internally and externally
If you have any questions or queries, please email [email protected] or contact 01224 577120 and ask to speak to Fraser Hoggan in the first instance.
