Retail Stock Processing Assistant

The Stock processing Assistants Role supports our hospice by ensuring we maximise
the income across the retail chain by helping to process the stock donations we
receive, to ensure maximum densities across all departments.
→ Helping the Store Team to hang, size, ticket tag and steam clothing for display on
the shop floor.
→ Help deliver “Hanger Appeal” to ensure our garments are displayed to their best.
→ Sort and process books, media, homewares, toys & games to a standard for
display.
→ Help identify high value or collectable items for distribution to eBay or specialist
stores.
→ Supporting stock replenishment to the shop floor.
→ Comply with Health & Safety procedures, the Volunteer Policy and any other
relevant policies and retail guidelines
→ General housekeeping duties
→ Provide excellent customer service to all customers and donors
→ Deal with any enquiries, requests or complaints in a professional manner
→ Attendance at relevant training and team meetings

Experience required

An understanding of the services the hospice can offer people with a life-limiting
illness.
→ Good interpersonal skills
→ Good organising skills
→ Be a team player and be willing to work within guidelines provided
→ Be responsible and reliable
→ Ability to keep up to date with hospice service provision developments
→ Willingness to uphold the values of the hospice



Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
