Newspaper Delivery Volunteers

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us with the newspaper delivery service at Ayr Hospital. The service we provide is open to patients, visitors and staff who are all grateful for the work done by the volunteers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Loading the trolley with newspapers, snacks etc.

  • Visit different stations at the hospital as guided by the station staff.

  • Accept cash payment and able to give change back

  • Return to shop to clear or restock trolley

Currently the newspaper delivery starts at 8am Monday to Friday. Shifts suitable to volunteers and if there is a bigger pool of volunteers, it needn't be an everyday commitment. The newspaper delivery volunteering can be in addition to or separate from the tea bar/shop volunteering duties.

We encourage anyone to register their interest, as we support all volunteers. Volunteers with support workers are also encouraged to apply.

For more information contact Ms Joan Wells on 01292 614567. The phone is generally answered Mon to Fri 9am to 2pm, if the phone is not answered, please leave a message and we will get back to the volunteer at our earliest.
