Ore Valley Housing Association is looking to recruit new Board members to help navigate the challenges ahead including addressing regional and national housing emergencies, homelessness and net zero.
Ore Valley Housing Association will consider applications from anyone with an interest in its work and in joining its Board and although not essential Ore Valley Housing Association is interested in meeting a broad spectrum of people and in particular anyone with experience in the following areas:
-Human Resource.
-Equality and Diversity Issues.
-Housing – including operation, maintenance or construction.
-Finance.
-Law.
-Regulatory frameworks.
-Community engagement.
-Net Zero and sustainability.
-Health and Social Care.
You will join an existing Board of committed and welcoming individuals; you will have access to training and development opportunities and have the opportunity to work with fellow Board Members and staff to make a real difference within the communities which Ore Valley serves.
Experience required
-Integrity: Demonstrate honesty, ethical behaviour, and a commitment to OVHA’s values.
-Commitment: Dedicate time and effort to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role.
-Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other Board Members and staff to achieve OVHA’s goals.

Travel details
Board meetings are invariably held at Ore Valley Housing Association’s head offices in Cardenden in Fife however online/virtual attendance is possible as well. Up to 10 meetings are held in a calendar year.

Training details
A full induction will be offered to introduce the and its activities through one-to-one with CEO, corporate support manager, Finance director, Housing Manager and Development and Asset Manager, as part of a wider plan. On-going training will be provided from various third party industry sources to support the prospective members development covering subjects such as finance, budgeting, health and safety, housing law and best practice.

Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
