Use your volunteering superpowers to be part of the action in your local community! Join the team raising funds at one of our exciting local fundraising events by helping us ensure the event runs smoothly, and by cheering on our fantastic fundraisers.
Experience required
No experience is necessary to undertake this satisfying and rewarding role. We are looking for people who enjoy engaging with the public, are friendly, polite and cheerful, and are able to get to and from the event location safely. The ability to volunteer as part of a team would also be beneficial.
Travel details
Various event locations across Scotland.
Travel expenses
Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. These should be discussed with your Fundraising team contact prior to outlay and must be submitted within the prescribed guidelines as detailed in the CHSS Volunteer Expenses Policy.
Support
Training details
All volunteers are supported by their line manager, usually the Community Fundraiser. A member of the Fundraising team will contact volunteers prior to the event with a full briefing and risk assessment.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
In line with our commitment to safeguarding, this role is subject to a basic disclosure check. CHSS are committed to equality of opportunity, and we aim to ensure no volunteer is unfairly treated on the grounds of an offending background.
Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
