Wood Workshop Volunteer

About this event

Volunteering in our wood workshop is a great opportunity to learn how to use a variety of woodworking tools, build upcycled furniture, and contribute to our positive environmental impact.

Volunteering details

Our wood workshop volunteers get hands on cleaning up and de-nailing timber; learning how to use a variety of woodworking tools; and building upcycled furniture. Volunteers contribute to our environmental mission by reusing and recycling waste timber that would otherwise go to landfill. Based at our workshop in Granton, you will be an integral part of our friendly and supportive team of staff, volunteers and trainees.

Experience required

You don't need to have any previous experience, just a desire to help and a willingness to learn.

Induction, training and support provided.

All volunteers must join the PVG scheme (Move On Wood Recycling will cover the fee for this).
