Compassionate Neighbour (Befriender)

We have opportunities across the Falkirk area for volunteers to visit someone in their home, have a chat & a cup of tea and make someone's day a little bit brighter.

Due to life-limiting conditions, many people cannot get out of their house and are confined to live a socially isolated and often quite lonely existence. Compassionate Neighbours can provide a lifeline by meeting a person in their home, passing the time of day, offering some social interaction and cheering someone up. It is very simple, but hugely significant.

We have people across Falkirk in various communities, so usually we are able to match volunteers locally to limit and travelling. If you could spare the time and commit to a weekly or fortnightly visit, we'd love to hear from you!
