Football Fans in Training Presenter

Football Fans in Training (FFIT) is delivered at Scottish Professional Football League clubs across Scotland and is designed to encourage men and women who are aged 35-65 and overweight to get fit and live healthier, more active lives. The programme was created by the University of Glasgow and has helped to create a positive, long-term impact on the lives of over 13,000 people in Scotland. FFIT tackles health inequalities by giving participants access to knowledge and compassionate support over a 13 week course. Each session is set up much like the game we all know and love - in two 45 minute halves. One half focuses on diet, providing advice on alcohol, portion control and nutrition. The other half gets people active in a fun way with light exercise in the stadium grounds.

Stenhousemuir FC Community Foundation is seeking one or two volunteers with an understanding of nutrition, diet and physical activity to help present the course one evening per week for 13 weeks. This is a great opportunity to be involved in an established, much lauded programme which benefits our community by increasing awareness of nutrition, alcohol intake and physical activity.

Experience required

An understanding of diet, nutrition and physical activity would be beneficial. However, training will be provided to increase or enhance that knowledge base.
