Management Committee Member

Paragon Housing Association Limited is a well established Registered Social Landlord based in Grangemouth and operating in the Forth Valley area. We provide social rented housing. We are a "not for profit organisation" with chartable status.
We provide day to day services to our tenants such as repairs and maintenance, build new homes for social rent and provide other services such as energy advice, benefits advice etc. We also work on projects across the wider community including providing employment opportunities and have a very active Tenant Scrunty Panel in place and our tenants are at the heart of what we do.

The day to day operations of the organisation are managed by paid professional staff. The Management Committee is made up of volunteers who are responsible for the strategic direction and the governance of the organisation. The composition of the Committee is mixed with tenants, housing professionals and community champions involved.

We are looking for new members with a variety of backgrounds - training and support will be provided and at this time we would particularly welcome people with financial management/scrutiny skills.

The role involves preparing for and attending meetings and undertaking training. There are around 10 meetings per year of the main management committee and there are opportunities to be involved in a number of specialist sub committees e.g. on audit, finance, health and safety etc. Meetings can vary from afternoon to evening mainly in person however hybrid facilities are in place.
