Van and Warehouse Assistant

Tayside Re-users receives donations from many sources and often these need to be collected - from our Hub, recycling centres, businesses and members of the public. Sold items also need to be delivered to the customer. As a Van & Warehouse Assistant, you help the Van Driver by collecting items from donors and making deliveries to customers. This involves handling heavy items such as furniture or white goods either on or off a van, into storage or into the sales area while keeping areas safe and tidy. You will need a good level of fitness for this role.

Experience required

Friendly and welcoming manner with the public, ability to work as part of a team. Joinery experience would be beneficial but not essential. Due to the nature of the role physical strength would be advantage.

Travel details

Tayside Re-Users, Unit 1 South Dudhope Mill, 75 Douglas Street, Dundee. North of Verdant Works and buses 7, 17, 28, 29, 51, 57 & 59 - stop just up the road on Lochee Road near Smellies Lane.

Travel expenses

Daily/weekly travel expenses will be reimbursed. Lunch allowance £4 per day.

Training details

In house training will be provided, daily support will be given and training will be given as and when required.
