Matchday Buddy

DAFC are proud to have a small team of volunteers who are on hand to assist some of their supporters with disabilities on match days at East End Park. They are keen to add to that number after some retirals from the role. The Match Buddy is a role created by the Club to assist and support all fans with a disability who visit East End Park. It is hoped that the volunteers will help develop this role further. The role involves assisting fans in various ways. for example providing blankets, assisting to access stadium, help provide a comfortable environment to watch the match in. This is a truly worthwhile and rewarding opportunity, particularly for those that enjoy live football. On a practical level, the role is quite low maintenance, however even the presence of buddies helps to provide reassurance to fans who may otherwise be reluctant to attend matches.
