The RVS are recruiting volunteers for our Community transport Service. Could you offer your time to help older people get to their appointments (it may be the doctor or just the grocery store)?
If you would like to take up this opportunity or would just like more information please contact us, we are happy to chat with you about the way you can support your local community.
Experience required
You’ll need to have a friendly personality, an understanding of the needs of older people with the ability to observe and identify areas of concern. You’ll have good communication and listening skills with a non-judgemental attitude towards an individual’s circumstances and a willingness to ensure confidentiality

This opportunity takes place within your local community.
Travel expenses
Mileage expenses will be reimbursed.
Support
Training details
Induction Training will be provided by RVS.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 17
Full driving license required.
Frequency & commitment
As this is a volunteer position, days and times are flexible.
Volunteers (aged 17-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
