We are looking for volunteer visitors to join the National Visitors Network, our national befriending scheme for older people that provides companionship to older people experiencing loneliness or social isolation.
Befrienders visit older people in their homes and provide regular chat/conversations (weekly/fortnightly or monthly as determined).
Full training and good ongoing support is provided to all volunteers.
A great, enjoyable opportunity to help and make a real difference.

Travel details
Opportunities available across Aberdeen City and north east.
Travel expenses
We reimburse all volunteers reasonable travel costs – expense claim forms are submitted with receipts for public transport or mileage.

Training details
Full training and good ongoing support is provided to all volunteers.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Frequency & commitment
Flexible days/times available-by mutual agreement.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
