Board Members

We are looking to replace losing a board member due to ill health, but would ideally like to replace them with two people. From a skills audit the board would like to attract someone who has a business background who can bring support and advice in relation to social enterprise, to give advice and assistance on how we can generate our own income and be less reliant on grants, although we are at present financially secure. We would also be interested in bringing on board someone with a media background for our publicity and marketing both to support and advise on the planned re-branding of the organisation to be more inclusive, but anyone with an interest in young people and developing services in the area would be welcome.
We are also in the final stages of finalising our strategic plan and this will support the direction of the organisation over the next 3 years, so this is quite an exciting time to be part of Beyond Earlston .
The meetings are held in Earlston, but we travel around so that board members can see the groups in each location as well as meet with the volunteers and staff. We have our Volunteer Friendly award and offer a comprehensive induction to the organisation to ensure that we are inclusive.
We are happy to meet with anyone who is interested in finding out more and ask questions from the other board members before any commitment is made.
