Management Committee Member

CAPS provides Individual Advocacy in East Lothian and Midlothian and runs several experience-led Collective Advocacy projects across Lothian. You will receive induction, training, guidance and support from CAPS staff. Travel details

Musselburgh is served by many Lothian Buses routes. The office is approximately 1 mile from Musselburgh railway station.

Travel expenses

Out of pocket expenses agreed in advance and incurred exclusively as a result of the role are paid monthly. Evidence of the expenses incurred is required for all items to be refunded.

Support
Training details

You will receive induction, training, guidance and support from CAPS staff. You will also receive external training on the Role & Responsibilities of Charity Trustees. Opportunity to attend other specific skills training as identified.

Frequency & commitment
2 to 3 hours meeting every 2 months; occasional special Management Committee meetings; occasional training and development days with CAPS staff; attendance at the AGM. Role requires a minimum commitment of 12 months.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
