As a Plusone mentor you will make a difference to the life of a young person, providing a positive role model and supporting access to hobbies and interests. The ability to be consistent, non-judgemental, supportive, fun and understanding is key to success in this role. Full initial training will be provided along with ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes. We look for a regular commitment of around 2-3 hours per week over a minimum 12 month period. A PGV scheme record check will be required (no cost involved).

Experience required

No formal qualifications are required but you will need the ability to show empathy, be non-judgemental. You will be able to reflect on your own life experiences and learning as well as demonstrate the motivation to see children and young people succeed in life.

Travel details
