Treasurer

Home-Start Glenrothes is a small independent voluntary organisation, supporting local families, helping them to be confident, happy adults, able to give their children the best possible start in life. Their team of staff and volunteers work with families in their homes, whilst also delivering a wide range of activities within their base in Glenrothes.

Home-Start Glenrothes are currently looking for a Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees, whose role it is to govern the organisation, overseeing its activities, ensuring that it operates in accordance with current legislation, and securing the finances needed for a sustainable future.

Experience required

The Board meets approximately every six weeks, either online or in-person. Day-to-day accounting is handled by a member of the staff team, together with the organisations accountants. Overseeing this activity, the Treasurer’s role will include:

-Ensuring proper accounts are kept

-Ensuring effective financial controls and policies are in place


-Reporting to the Board


-Liaising with our external auditor in creation of the annual accounts

We pay public transport / mileage rates weekly to volunteers
