Railtour Guide

The Scottish Railway Preservation Society are looking for volunteers to join the enthusiastic team that runs the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, Museum of Scottish Railways and SPS Railtours.

Our volunteers play an important role in preserving the heritage of Scottish railways for future generations. You will learn new skills through support from other volunteers and we can provide training in whichever areas you are interested. Some of our volunteers have been with the Society for a number of years so you can be sure of gaining knowledge and skills from real experts in this field. No matter how much time you can offer, it will be valuable to us.

We are currently seeking volunteers to work in stewarding and catering during the Railtours to ensure that our passengers enjoy their scenic journey through Scotland or to historic towns and cities. Other volunteers help to organise and market the tours, so there is plenty of scope within these roles.

If you are interested in volunteering with us or you want to find out more, please get in touch:
