Volunteer Concert Usher

Volunteering details

Missing People is the only charity in the UK that is dedicated to reconnecting missing people and their loved ones. They provide services including family support and counselling.

The close harmony group G4 kindly allow us to conduct a bucket collection at the end of their show. The generosity of G4’s fans allows us to continue our vital work of offering a free, confidential helpline available to people affected by a disappearance.

Volunteers will be acting as ushers, showing guests to their seats on arrival as well as giving out event programs and helping with merchandise sales. You will also be helping to collect donations at the end of the night, standing around the venue holding a bucket as guests leave.

You may also be asked to be a Lead Volunteer for the evening. This would involve checking that all the volunteers signed up to the event are there, counting and transferring the donations to us. You will receive specific instructions from us on what you’ll be doing for the evening.

The event is being held at Ayr Town Hall from 19:30 – 21:30, but we’d ask for you to arrive at the venue from 18:00 and expect to finish at 22:00.

To sign up please go to https://www.missingpeople.org.uk/support-missing-people/volunteer/g4-christmas-concert-usher. This is a fantastic opportunity to volunteer at what will be a great evening and will get you into the festive spirit.

Experience required

No experience or training is needed for this role but we will email a basic briefing to you prior to the event and you’ll receive a full briefing from the team on your arrival at the event. You will be supported throughout if you have any questions or problems.
